Indications for use
Normalene® Macrogol 3350 is useful for treating constipation in adults and children.
Description of the product
Normalene® Macrogol 3350 naturally regulates the intestine; it is indicated in cases of chronic constipation and in cases of occasional irregularity.
Macrogol 3350 is a mixture of high molecular weight polymers that are not absorbed and are not metabolised by the gut microbiota. Macrogol 3350 acts as a pure osmotic agent that retains water at the intestinal level; this encourages intestinal peristalsis, or the softening of the faeces, and the consequent evacuation without causing cramps, abdominal pain or urgency conditions.

1. Is not absorbed in the intestine
2. Is eliminated in the faeces in an unmodified form

5. The effectiveness is not reduced over time
6. It can be taken by children over 3 years of age.
Unless prescribed otherwise, the recommended dose of Normalene® Macrogol 3350
- Adults, the elderly and children from 12 years of age: 1 entire sachet (13.3 g) 1-3 times a day, diluting the contents in 125 ml of water (1 glass of still water)
- Children 7 to 11 years of age: half a sachet (6.65 g) twice a day, diluting the contents in 62.5 ml of water (half glass of still water)
- Children 3 to 6 years of age: half a sachet (6.65 g) once a day, diluting the contents in 62.5 ml of water (half glass of still water)
Do not give to children below the age of 3.
Gluten and lactose-free. Orange flavour.
Do not take Normalene® Macrogol 3350 in cases of intestinal stenosis, intestinal perforation or inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
Normalene Macrogol 3350 is an EC 0426 medical device.
