Normalene®

Treatment of occasional constipation:

• Adults and children 10 years of age and older: the recommended dose is 1-2 coated tablets (5-10mg) daily before bedtime.
• Children 2 to 10 years: 1 coated tablet (5 mg) daily before bedtime.

Tablets should preferably be administered after the evening meal so that the laxative effect, which occurs after 10-12 hours, does not disturb sleep. Swallow together with an adequate amount of water (a large glass).
During pregnancy and lactation, ^Normalene® should be used only when actually needed and under direct medical supervision.

HEALTH EDUCATION NOTES

First of all, it should be kept in mind that, in most cases, a balanced diet rich in water and fiber (bran, vegetables, and fruits) can solve the problem of constipation in a lasting way.
Many people think that they suffer from constipation if they fail to evacuate every day.
This is a mistaken belief since this situation is completely normal for a large number of individuals.
Instead, consider that constipation occurs when evacuations are reduced compared to one’s personal habits and are associated with the emission of hard stools.
If episodes of constipation occur repeatedly, a physician should be consulted.

It is a Bisacodyl-based medicine. Please read the package insert carefully.
Avoid prolonged use.
Consult your doctor if the frequency of intake exceeds 3-4 times a month.
Do not give to children under 2 years of age.
